ABSTRACT PENSION – Dearness Allowance to the Ex-gratia beneficiaries – Sanction Enhanced rate admissible from 1st January 2023 – Orders – Issued.

Read the following:-

1. G. O. Ms. No .258, Finance (Pension) Department, dated: 18-08-2022.
2. G. O. Ms. No .10, Finance (Pension) Department, dated: 06-01-2023.

ORDER:

In the Government Order first read above, orders were issued sanctioning the enhanced rate of Dearness Allowance @ 373% with effect from 1st July, 2022 to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board employees who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.605/- p.m. and revised to Rs.645/- p.m. with effect from 4th June 2013.

2. In the Government Order second read above, orders were issued revising the rates of Dearness Allowance payable to the State Government Pensioners/ Family Pensioners from 34 per cent to 38 per cent with effect from 1st January 2023 and it was ordered among others, that the Dearness Allowance to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board employees who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment will be sanctioned separately.

3. Following the orders issued in the reference second read above, the Government sanction the revised rate of Dearness Allowance to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board beneficiaries who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/- p.m. as indicated below:-

4. The Government also direct that the Dearness Allowance at the rate ordered in para-3 above shall be paid with effect from 1st January, 2023 to the widows and dependent children of the deceased Contributory Provident Fund / Non-Pensionable Establishment beneficiaries of State Government and the former District Board beneficiaries who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/- p.m.

5. The expenditure on Dearness Allowance payable to those who are in receipt of Ex-gratia payment of Rs.645/-p.m. shall be debited to the following Head of Account:

6. Pending formal authorization by the Principal Accountant General, the revised Dearness Allowance shall be paid straightaway by the Pension Pay Officer, Chennai-35 and Treasury Officers / Sub-Treasury Officers concerned.
