“IMPLEMENTATION OF RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE EIGHTH CPC”

Will the Minister of Finance be pleased to state:

(a) the total number of meetings held by the Eighth Central Pay Commission(CPC) since its constitution; and

(b) whether the Government has finalised the likely date for implementation of the recommendations of the Eighth CPC along with the fitment factor proposed to be adopted for the revision of pay and pension of Central Government employees and pensioners, in view of 1st January, 2026 being the due date for the revision of pay and pension?

(a) The Resolution dated 03.11.2025 notified by the Government for the constitution of the 8th Central Pay Commission does not provide that the Commission would keep the Government updated on its consultation process during the course of its deliberations.

(b) The 8th Central Pay Commission has not submitted its recommendations to the Government yet.
